The full name of this brilliant Etna winery is 'I Custodi delle Vigne di Etna' - literally the custodians of Mount Etna.
Mario Paoluzi founded the estate alongside famed Etna vigneron Salvo Foti, resurrector of the I Vigneri, the local vineyard workers association which has existed for several centuries.
Old vine Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio and Carricante is tended with care, and with no chemical inteference, mostly sited on the incredible old lave flow terraces.
