The producers we're featuring today are some of the best value producers in the country - in our opinion, at least. Dollar for dollar, they consistently offer some of the best buys from their respective regions. If you're looking for bang for your buck, this is where we'd be spending our hard-earned dollarydoos!

We love wine, that much is for certain, but more than that we love the people behind the wine. The great side of Aussie wine - that is, the small, independent side - is packed with personalities and stories of tiny producers making extremely special wines that march to the beat of their own drum.

We love Tassie wines, as might be indicated by the fact that Tasmanian producers dominated the Classification this year. With no fewer than eight of the sixty producers in this year's class hailing from the Apple Isle, it's safe to say they make a great wine down south.

In today's instalment of the DD Classification, we're shining a light on six of these Taswegian rockstars and their brand new releases.
