 Ochota Barrels

Taras and Amber Ochota together amongst some greenery

The Ochota Barrels story started back in 2000 by husband and wife team Amber & Taras Ochota. Their wines gained them cult status internationally for the grungy, minimalist attitude towards winemaking, becoming regarded as the epitome of rockstar wine labels. Located in the beautiful Basket Range of the Adelaide Hills, the wines are lovingly made in small batches, filled with energy, personality and tension. Amber Ochota has faithfully continued on the legacy of the family label since the untimely passing of her late husband, Taras Ochota in 2020.

The signature energy and freshness of the Ochota Barrels label are delivered in spades in the 2022 releases, but as always the stocks are extremely limited - so much so that a few of their wines are only available in our Ochota Barrels Tasting Pack ($400).

With their loyal fanbase waiting in the wings to swoop on these wines, we recommend you don't hesitate to snap up their wines while they're still available!

Lucy M.

The brain behind Lucy M. belongs to no other than Anton Von Klopper, one of the frontline warriors of the natural wine movement. He crafts his colourful wines in the Adelaide Hills, making them with no additions of any kind, and has attracted plenty of attention from wine fanatics for their uniqueness in both vibe and personality.

We've just received 2022 releases from Lucy M, with a range of new cuvees added as well as the return of some tried and tested favourites.

If you're into lo-fi wine and aren't familiar with Anton, we're stoked to introduce you to this perception altering range that are raw, rugged and righteous.

Only small batches made, so hook in while they're still here!

Brave New Wine

Husband and wife duo, Andries and Yoko, are the humans behind some of the most intriguing vino in WA - keeping true to the label name, these are, in every sense, Brave New Wine(s).

Made in painfully small batches, their range is fascinating, experimental and wildly delicious - with little to no additions, of course. The personality that shines through in their wines is unmistakable, with fun and fizzy Pet Nats, charmingly aromatic white blends and gluggable reds.

The new drops we've got from them see the return of crowd favourites, like the Glitter Us Petillant Naturel, the full-blown amber Doppelganger and the crazily smashable Rude Boy Fridge Red that's ready for a chill in the fridge.

They're here for a good time, not a long time, so score some bottles of fun below!

The Other Right

Jubilant, vibrant and irrepressibly irreverent, you'll never know what to expect from the wines of Alex Schulkin at The Other Right

The wines are excellent examples of quality with a natural philosophy. Alex's day job is as a researcher at the Australian Wine Research Institute (AWRI). He's taken what he's learnt there and channelled it into his label making his no-sulphur wines show a cleanliness and liveliness that is a cut above.

Full of character and guided to bottle with TLC, these are fun and frisky drops full of character and a certain je ne sais quoi. Smashable? Check. Delicious? Check. Dive on in!

Geyer Wine Co.

Dave Geyer of Geyer Wine Co is part of the new Barossa, challenging traditions of the region and crafting his wines as naturally as possible. He's breathing a second life into some neglected sites in the area, playing with varieties that may not be considered mainstream but are delicious all the same.

Drinkability and charisma are deeply embedded into David's wines. He makes them as naturally as possible, striving to breathe some new life into the unsung varieties in the region.

Get familiar with Dave's deliciously different Barossan wines - you won't regret it.
