Named James Halliday's Best Value Winery for 2020, owner/winemaker Bruce Dukes has a wealth of winemaking experience both here and abroad, including a stint at Francis Ford Coppola's iconic Niebaum Coppola winery in the Napa Valley.
His wines are made from traditional Margaret River varieties with a focus on premium Chardonnay and Cabernet that rival the best of the region. From the top-shelf premium range to the excellent 'daily drinking' wines, everything made by the hands of Bruce is outstanding value for money!

Margaret River is the home of the "Aussie White Bordeaux", the classic Sauvignon Blanc Semillon and Bruce Dukes makes one of the best in the area.
The Discovery is 'classic' in the best possible way. As Bruce describes, "Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon are captured to highlight their attractiveness in youth." That freshness is complimented by the soft savoury undertones of the portion which has been barrel fermented.
The classics are classic for a reason.

2023 Domaine Naturaliste Discovery Chardonnay
After 20 years observing the area, Bruce Dukes decided all the Chardonnays from Domaine Naturaliste would be crafted entirely from the Gin Gin clone.
This is his best value, early drinking Chardonnay. A wine that seriously over-delivers in the bang-for-your-buck stakes, it's built in a more fruit-forward style - ripe, but not too ripe, and balanced perfectly with a subtle hint of oak.
This is one of the best buys in all of Australian Chardonnay at the moment. You'd be mad not to.
2023 Domaine Naturaliste Floris Chardonnay
If you want Chardonnay with some flesh and weight, this is one of the best value you are going to find in Margaret River.
Bruce Dukes' obsession with Chardonnay clones has brought him to the conclusion that the Gin Gin clone is the best suited in Margaret River. As such, he uses this Gin Gin exclusively with all his Chardonnays, searching for sites where the variety does best in his region.
His mid-tier Floris Chardonnay shows ample barrel complexity alongside delicious stone fruit characters and a hint of grapefruit.
Classic Margaret River Chardonnay and great buying at this price.
2022 Domaine Naturaliste Discovery Syrah
Top value Syrah here from Bruce Dukes.
The man has a way with Syrah from Margaret River. Where many struggle with the variety from this region, Bruce has a sensitivity to the grape and knows how to make it sing.
His latest release of his entry-level Discovery Syrah is right on point.
Silky, slinky, vibrant Syrah at a great price. This is top value from a class act winemaker.

"Fragrant aromas of blue and black fruits - blueberry, blackberry, black plums - fuse with violet florals and some deeper liquorice notes in this cooler, maritime climate Syrah version of Shiraz. A vanilla bean note from oak adds richness, the wine is supple and ripe, and although 14% alcohol hides it well within a medium-bodied and quite elegant frame. The tannins are plush and ripe too, and with a juicy fruit-filled finish, this excellent value wine is poised for ideal drinking throughout summer – perhaps slightly chilled - and into the cooler months."

2023 Domaine Naturaliste Rebus Cabernet Sauvignon
Bruce Dukes' winemaking starts literally from the ground up.
The man has been obsessed with growing things for over two decades and it shows in every wine he makes. His roots have been put down in Margaret River, and as such he has immense insight into what the balance of soil, aspect and clone can do to a wine in this part of the world. One of his great loves is Margaret River Cabernet - and with this wine, we can definitely see why.
He explained to us, "Rebus is a picture puzzle that when you look at it, the solution is not immediately apparent, there may be several solutions. That's why I love Margaret River Cabernet - it's constantly changing and it keeps me constantly challenged."

"Quite a different take on the Artus is this more classically defined modern expression of the variety. There is a pristine purity evident immediately with a floral cut lime and pear lift on the nose. Then the palate coils and tightens as it extends through to a very long finish. An elegant wine with a purity and finesse that is so appealing."

No, feel free to mix it up! There is no minimum requirement. You can order wines in any quantity or combination, 1 or 50+ bottles.
We stock three different sized gift boxes (single, three bottle and six), all are available for purchase for a flat rate of $8. They look great and make an awesome impression.
To add a gift box to your order, simply add at checkout. The special requests box is your friend, please give us as many details of what you are looking for and we will try our best, or get in contact to discuss it with you.
