Sourced from a steep, north-facing 1.6-hectare vineyard of 100+ year-old Carignan near Torroja, this Vi de Coster (1er Cru equivalent) benefits from cooler exposures and schist-granite soils, producing a fresher, more refined style. The vineyard, acquired in 2005, has been instrumental in shaping Dominik Huber’s approach to showcasing Priorat’s diverse microclimates. The wine is crafted with 100% whole-bunch fermentation, wild yeasts, and aged exclusively in concrete for 16 months, preserving its purity and focus.

Arbossar offers a floral, medium-bodied expression of Carignan, with layers of red fruit, white pepper, and a mineral-driven freshness. The refined tannins and precise acidity give it a balance and finesse rarely seen in Priorat, earning its reputation as one of the region’s most elegant reds.

Arbossar is a Vi de Coster, the equivalent of a 1er Cru, from a steep 1.6-hectare vineyard of 100+ year-old Carignan, planted on schist and granite soils near the village of Torroja, home to the Terroir al Límit cellars. Unconventionally, this vineyard is located on cooler, north-facing slopes, a factor that defines its character. Acquired in 2005, this site played a key role in shaping Dominik Huber’s understanding of Priorat’s terroirs.

Known for its fresher, more floral style compared to the south-facing Dits del Terra, Arbossar is picked earlier and crafted with 100% whole-bunch fermentation using wild yeasts, followed by 16 months of aging exclusively in concrete. Huber describes the wine as having a French soul, a German mind, and a Spanish heart—a poetic encapsulation of its elegance and depth.

This vintage is the most Burgundy-like expression of Arbossar to date, with striking perfume, a refreshing spine, and layers of raspberry and floral fruit. It’s finesse personified, delivering a deeply impressive, refined interpretation of Priorat.

Terrroir al Limit

Terroir al Límit is a winery redefining the boundaries of Priorat, one of Spain’s most prestigious wine regions. Founded in 2001 by Dominik Huber and South African winemaker Eben Sadie, this project has become a beacon for a new style of Priorat—where finesse, balance, and purity take precedence over power and opulence.

Rooted in the rugged hills of Catalonia, Terroir al Límit embraces the philosophy that great wines are born in the vineyard. Old vines of Garnatxa and Carinyena, grown biodynamically on steep slate soils, provide the foundation. In the cellar, minimal intervention is key: whole-bunch fermentation, concrete tanks, and short macerations preserve the vibrancy and soul of the fruit. Oak barrels? A thing of the past.

Huber’s wines are a revelation—ethereal reds and textural whites that offer a fresh, almost Burgundian-like perspective on Priorat. Flagship wines like Les Manyes and Les Tosses showcase single vineyards with astounding clarity and depth, while Pedra de Guix redefines what a white Priorat can be.
