Vincent Pinard

Clement and Florent Pinard are 15th generation vignerons. It's a long history and the weight of tradition is certainly something the pair respect. That said, they are also keen to put their own mark onto the wines and stand out in the Sancerre region. Over the years, they have slowly introduced higher oak levels, obtained biodynamic certification and have their own isolated yeast strain for fermentation. There is a lot of energy here.

The domaine is made up of 17 hectares of vines planted around Bué. While Sancerre has no official cru system, the brothers aren't shy about referring to their sites as 1er Cru quality. The results speak for themselves. Each of the wines have their own personality - a combination of fruit quality, winemaking skills and the brothers' own tenacity. They are possibly the most exciting things coming from Sancerre.
