About as icon a producer as you can get, Vincent Dauvissat sits alongside Raveneau at the very top of the Chablis ladder.
His famous Grand Crus, Les Clos and Les Preuses are rare, astonishing and expensive. His village and premier cru wines defy their lower status and are some of the most structured cellarworthy Chardonnays in the world, particularly the 1er Cru Les Forest (Forets).
Vincent joined his father in winery in the 1970s (the domaine was founded in 1931) and has further elevated the status of the wines, which are rich, layered and often need many years in the cellar to reveal themselves. Very few bottles make it to Australia...
