Trimbach
The origins of Trimbach go back as far as 1626, and it is still in family hands, 12 generations down the line. They are quite simply the icon winery of Alsace.
Based around their winery in Ribeauville they have around 57 hectares of vineyards including several famous Grand Cru sites, with Riesling being the obvious calling card among the other Alsatian aromatic whites.
Their masterpieces are the famous Rieslings, Clos Saint Hune and Cuvee Frederic Emile, which are among France's greatest white wines, though they are rarely seen.
