Topper's Mountain
Across 1998-2002, Mark Kirkby, his wife Stephanie and his three daughters planted the Topper's Mountain vineyards in the New England area to a range of varieties - from Gewurztraminer and Nebbiolo to classics like Sauvignon Blanc.
Through a lot of trial and error, they learned what varieties flourished on their land, and began collaborating with winemaker Mark Hayes, who's focus on terroir driven wines inspired them to change their philosophy on winemaking.
Today their winemaking team has expanded to include Glen Robert and Andrew Scott from Bent Road, and Jared Dixon from Jilly Wines, who all share the same minimal intervention, maximal attention approach to produce beautiful, quality wine.
