Settlement
Barossa native Steve Planthaber recently set up Settlement along with his partner Kirsty Sutherland, daughter of Dog Point owner, and Cloudy Bay alum, Ivan Sutherland.
Steve had been working for Cloudy Bay for the previous 12 years before striking out on his own. Settlement is based around a simple idea - they make wines from four key single vineyard sites around Marlborough, all certified organic.
The company is named after the Settlement Vineyard in Omaka, with the other sites in the Wairau Valley and Southern Valley.
