Picardy
Picardy is the Pemberton outpost of one of Australia's leading wine producers, the Pannell family of Moss Wood fame. Bill and Sandra Pannell started Moss Wood way back in 1969, and established Picardy in 1993. Their son Dan is now the main man on campus.
All fruit for Picardy wines is sourced from their own extensive vineyards where the focus is on sustainably-grown classic varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon.
The region offers ideal conditions for cool climate wine making, with moderating ocean influence, cool breezes and plenty of rainfall.
