A love of music, wine and fun times with friends was the catalyst that propelled James into a life of winemaking.

Originally a musician and sound engineer based in Victoria, he worked at a number of cellar doors around the Yarra Valley to support himself while pursuing his creative passions. He got into making wine by helping out over a few vintages, and became entranced by the whole process.

He particularly loves working with Chardonnay, making his first cuvee in 2021 from this variety, but has plans to grow the range to cover a range of other varieties as well as hone his skills in crafting Chardonnay. A young gun to keep an eye on...
