Eric Goypieron
Eric Goypieron is a Jura producer who operates a little outside the (wine) law, with all his wines carrying the basic Vin de France label, rather than sporting the restrictive Jura appellation stamp.
A realative latecomer to wine, Eric bought a house and winery at the age of forty near the commune of Chateau Chalon, and with gradual vineyard purchases he now owns about two hectares of Savagnin, Chardonnay, Poulsard and Trousseau. His first vintage was in 2012.
Based in the small village of Menetru-le-Vignoble, everything is farmed organically (certified) and there are little to no additions in his winemaking. An eccentric, wonderful, bushranger of a vigneron.
