Domaine de Marcoux
The Armenier family has been making wine here for 700 years with sisters Sophie and Catherine managing the family estate in Chateauneuf-du-Pape for the past 25 years, with Catherine only recently retiring.
Tiny production numbers, old vines and wild-ferments are the hallmarks of the estate, as well as no new oak. They are seductive Chateauneufs in which to revel, and their bistro wine, the Raisin de Loup, is as good a value red as you'll find in this famous place.
