The culture of Australian wine is changing at a rate of knots, and brothers Tim and Lawrence Scanlon have tapped into it beautifully - combining the demand for quality with the Aussie tendency towards irreverence. Their brand is full of new-wave styles, focused on varietal purity rather than heavy handed oak.

The wines are all lo-fi, with no additions except for the occasional dose of sulphur at bottling. Their overarching philosophy is to make wines which are friendly and relaxing, and they source fruit from a variety of Victorian regions to do this.

You might not want to take them to dinner with the in-laws, but in the words of Tim and Lawrence, you will want to drink them from a mug or tumbler in a park with your mates.
