Churton
Sam and Mandy Weaver established their biodynamic paradise in 1997 in between the Omaka and Waihopai valleys in Marlborough.
Their close-planted vineyard consists of only four varieties. They grow Sauvignon Blanc, Petit Manseng, Viognier, and Pinot Noir.
Their fruit is highly sought-after by other local vignerons. Where much of the region is given over to huge companies churning out unfathomable quantities of mass-produced Sauvignon Blanc, the Weavers have kept things small and premium.
A family business from the ground up, this is what Marlborough wines taste like with a real sense of place.
