Burn Cottage
Burn Cottage was founded by husband and wife team Marquis Sauvage and Dianne Sauvage in 2002.
They'd searched the 'New World' for the perfect site to plant a great Pinot Noir vineyard. This special site, a sheep farm in Central Otago, was where they chose to plant.
They employed a rock-star team to kick off the project. World-renowned, Burgundian-trained winemaker Ted Lemon came on board, leading biodynamic experts Peter Proctor and his partner Rachel Pomeroy were employed to consult on establishing the vines.
The vineyard has been biodynamic since inception. The focus, a single-minded mission to produce truly world-class Pinot Noir.
