The current Mellots, father and son, running the famous Sancerre domaine are both called Alphonse! They continue a long tradition of excellence, mostly focussed on the famous La Moussiere vineyard in the upper Sancerre.
Theirs are Sauvignons to sip, treasure and age - the Generation XIX and Cuvee Edmond are two of France's great white wines.
