We love Tassie wines, as might be indicated by the fact that Tasmanian producers dominated the Classification this year. With no fewer than eight of the sixty producers in this year's class hailing from the Apple Isle, it's safe to say they make a great wine down south.

In today's instalment of the DD Classification, we're shining a light on six of these Taswegian rockstars and their brand new releases.

The Dr. Edge releases are usually always our most anticipated Tasmanian releases of the year - and the 2021 Tasmania Pinot Noir & Chardonnay from Peter Dredge are absolute showstoppers. These are benchmarks for Tasmanian wine and are amongst the most-loved wines of the year by the Different Drop team.

Only three vintages in and the Pinot Noirs from Peter Dredge are now some of the most hotly anticipated releases out of Tasmania. The 2017s reviews are in, and they are sensational. 

This looks like Dredgy's best release to date.
