Yangarra
It's always an exciting time of the year when Yangarra releases their epic Icon range. These biodynamically farmed, estate grown wines sit at the very apex of quality in the McLaren Vale region.
Today we are thrilled to offer four new wines from winemaker Peter Fraser and his team. The new releases on offer are:
- 2016 Ironheart Shiraz
- 2017 Ovitelli Grenache
- 2017 King's Wood Shiraz
- 2017 Roux Beaute Roussanne
These wines each have received incredible reviews on release. Every wine has a 95 point or better score from the most respected wine critics in the country. Suffice to say, these wines are dynamite.
The Shiraz wines are deep, throaty and perfectly polished, the Grenache may just be the most ethereal example of the variety to be found anywhere in Australia, and if you're a lover of textural whites, the powerhouse ceramic egg Roussanne is not to be missed.
These are only small batch releases from the best performing portions of the Yangarra vineyard. They are rare and beautiful creatures from one of the best winemakers in the game today.
If you're a collector of the very best of McLaren Vale, these wines should all have a place in your cellar.

S.C. Pannell
Steve Pannell is one of Australian wine's true visionaries. Over his long and illustrious career, Steve has championed a style of wine that better suits our food and lifestyle.
The easiest way to sum up the S.C. Pannell range is to say the wines are both serious, and seriously smashable. We just received a few new wines from Steve that we've been looking forward to immensely.
Steve's love of Italian varieties is on show here with a new release of his benchmark Adelaide Hills Nebbiolo. Pannell has worked closely with the iconic G.D. Vajra in Barolo and has a deep love of the variety. He feels that this vineyard in Gumeracha is one of the few sites outside of Barolo that can produce the quality of Nebbiolo that he feels does the variety justice. He only releases this wine in exceptional years. The 2016 release looks brilliant.
On top of that, we have his first devilish Nero d'Avola from his vineyard on Olivers Road - a moreish, savoury red that radiates bright fruit and spice. Plus the latest instalment of the ever-popular Tempranillo Touriga and Steve's ode to the great wines of Wendouree with his new Cabernet Malbec.
Whether you're looking for something serious for the cellar of something you can just rip the top off tomorrow night, the S.C. Pannell range has just what you're looking for.
