Description

This might be the best value entry into the world of Piedmont to hit Australian shores this year.

While Nebbiolo is famous for the stern, long-ageing bottles of Barolo, the Langhe DOC is all about accessibility and immediate pleasure. Bel Colle - now under the guidance of the Bosio family - farms these steep hills with a focus on sustainability, avoiding herbicides and systemic treatments to keep the fruit as pure as possible.

The 2024 release is a vibrant, ruby-red expression that trades heavy tannins for pure drinkability. It’s fermented in stainless steel to lock in those high-toned aromatics: think fresh raspberries, cherries, and a classic hint of violet. The tannins are present but soft and velvety, giving the wine enough shape to handle food without requiring years in a cellar to mellow out.

It's really a ridiculous bargain, given the price of most Langhe Nebb that makes it here. It has the characteristic acidity and red-fruit crunch of the variety but in a package that's ready to go tonight. For the price, it’s one of the most honest and drinkable Nebbiolos on the market.

"Well, hey, I like this better than the 2021 Monvigliero, so there you go! It’s fighting value for Langhe Neb... It speaks of Nebbiolo, drinks well, and gee, it’s definitely affordable. Affability over complexity, sure, but such a nice wine all up."
- Gary Walsh (The Wine Front)

92 points - "Fresh raspberries and violet petals dance with plum notes in this youthful Langhe Nebbiolo. The sandy-limestone soils of Alba express themselves through a refined mineral character, while silky tannins carry bright red fruits across the palate. A clear, honest wine that shows how young Nebbiolo can be fun and delicious." - Jeff Porter (Wine Enthusiast)

91 points - "Well, hey, I like this better than the 2021 Monvigliero, so there you go! It’s fighting value for Langhe Neb. Cherry, raspberry, some floral notes, almond and aniseed too. It’s fresh, medium-bodied, a light grip to tannin, a juiciness of red fruit, some mouth-perfume, a little nutty, with a bright finish of good length. It speaks of Nebbiolo, drinks well, and gee, it’s definitely affordable. Affability over complexity, sure, but such a nice wine all up." - Gary Walsh (The Wine Front)

Customer Reviews

Nebbiolo is the iconic grape variety of Piedmont, known for producing wines of extraordinary elegance and complexity. Among its most versatile expressions are Langhe Nebbiolo DOC and Nebbiolo d’Alba DOC, two denominations that offer distinct styles but share the typical refinement of this noble grape. Langhe Nebbiolo represents a more accessible and immediate expression of this noble grape. Grown in a wider area that includes both the Langhe and part of Roero, this wine is characterized by its freshness, lively acidity, and a softer tannic structure compared to the great aging wines like Barolo and Barbaresco.

No, feel free to mix it up! There is no minimum requirement. You can order wines in any quantity or combination, 1 or 50+ bottles.

No, all prices are set at the full discounted dozen rate already.

Most wine retailers list at a single-bottle price and then discount 10–15% when you buy six or twelve. We've taken the opposite approach. Since the overwhelming majority of our orders are already 6 bottles or more, our list price is set for the case buyer from the start. There's no inflated single-bottle price to discount down from.

What that means for you:

- One price, same for everyone — no minimum to hit to unlock the best rate
- No mixed-six gymnastics to qualify for a discount
- Our single-bottle price is typically at or below a traditional retailer's by-the-dozen rate

Put simply: the box discount is already baked into the price.

**And if you find it cheaper elsewhere?** Let us know. If the same wine is available at a lower price at another retailer (including at their mixed-six or by-the-dozen rate) we're happy to match it.

If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
