Description
Introspect is Syrahmi’s more stripped-back, site-focused expression of Heathcote Shiraz — made from a single vineyard in Tooborac on granite soils, sitting higher and cooler than most of the region. The 2020 vintage was fermented with 100% whole bunch, aged in old oak, and bottled without fining or filtration. No additions. No interference.
It’s a different angle on Heathcote — lifted and spicy, with less density and more space. Blackberry, dark cherry, crushed black pepper and bay leaf up front, with a savoury edge running through it. The whole bunch gives the wine shape and aromatic lift, but it’s not overt. Tannins are firm, a little bit grippy, but finely textured. The acidity is natural and keeps things bright.
It’s not a big, glossy Shiraz. This is leaner, more structural, and clearly made for drinkers who want to taste the vineyard, not the winemaking. Built with patience, and better with food.

This is awash with sweet, juicy, red-berried fruit, the complements coming in the form of roasted nut, smoked wood and game characters. In short, it puts on quite a show."

We stock three different sized gift boxes (single, three bottle and six), all are available for purchase for a flat rate of $8. They look great and make an awesome impression.
To add a gift box to your order, simply add at checkout. The special requests box is your friend, please give us as many details of what you are looking for and we will try our best, or get in contact to discuss it with you.

Our warehouse is automated so unless you tell us otherwise, we will ship your order. If you would like us to hold your order please reply to the order confirmation email after placing your order and we are happy to store your order for up to 6 months at no charge. If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
