2022 Torzi Matthews Mystic Park Shiraz

Crafted with fruits from two vineyards, one in the Angaston sub-region of the Barossa and one in the Mt McKenzie sub-region, this Shiraz is deliciously aromatic, with flavours of blackberry and spice, with a gratifying finish.

Lighter in fruit profile and palate weight than its Schist Rock brother, this is nonetheless a deeply enjoyable bottle of Shiraz, particularly at the price point.

Perfect to share around as a table wine, enjoy over pizza and a movie, or to settle in with on your next binge-watch sesh. Read More

"It’s kind of like Beaujolais x Barossa Shiraz in a way, well, that kind of feel. Very good too."
- Gary Walsh (The Wine Front)

2022 Frederick Stevenson Grenache

Steve Crawford works with some great old vineyards across the Barossa Valley, with the Hongell Grenache coming from a vineyard just to the south of the historic Barossa sub-region of Tanunda.

It was made with 30% whole bunches and old oak. Steve looks to capture the personality of each vineyard he works from, here he's done a top notch job.

It's Barossa Grenache with a different look. It's bright, crunchy, and wickedly drinkable. Grenache fans with a penchant for original expressions of the variety should get on this, particularly as volumes are limited. Read More

"Barossa Valley doing a lither, more vibrant expression of the variety. That’s a Freddie Stevenson motif, though. A very good wine producer, is this... What a great grenache this is. What a great drink!"
- Mike Bennie (The Wine Front)

2022 Hewitson Miss Harry GSM

We're so lucky in Australia to have quality wines such as this available for such reasonable prices.

This is a hand-crafted old-vine Grenache, Shiraz, Mataro blend from Dean Hewitson that tremendously over-delivers. The vines used to produce this blend date back as far as the 19th century, with the average age of vines coming in around 75 years.

No shortcuts are taken in the winemaking process, just good honest Barossan fruit delivered in a reasonably-priced package. It's what the Barossa does best and Dean Hewitson delivers. Read More

"Calm, savoury and pure sporting a wicked red and dark fruit flow, gentle tannins and, the bottom line is, it's a real joy to drink."
- Dave Brookes (Halliday Wine Companion)

2022 Spinifex Papillon

Introducing Papillon - one of the most gluggable reds in the Barossa Valley!

The Spinifex wines cover a wide spectrum, from rich, full-throttled old vine Shiraz all the way to this, a light bodied, energetic Grenache Cinsault blend made for easy day-time drinking.

These styles are certainly in vogue but as usual, winemaking wizard Schell elevates it to another level, utilising incredibly old vines and astute winemaking to add depth and complexity to what is joyously pure red berried fruit.

Papillon is one of our go-to's and just unbeatable value. What a producer Spinifex is. Read More

2022 Smallfry Stella Luna Red

Farmed using biodynamic principals, this fresh and vibrant (and aptly named) wine is farmed, picked and fermented in accordance with the cycles of the moon.

These practices make for "soils and wines which are just so much better" according to viticulturist Suzi Hilder. A blend of Cinsault and Shiraz from their own vineyard in the Barossa Valley, this wine is made with a small portion of whole-bunch, without oak and is released young to be drunk young - all the beauty of the vineyard still laid bare for all to see.

This is the perfect red for warm Spring days, and delicious drinking with a slight chill. Read More

2022 Brothers at War The Old Man Eden Valley Syrah

Second-generation vigneros Sam and Angus Wardlaw release this Shiraz as an ode to their old-man, who has inspired and driven them to become the winemakers and people they are today.

The wine itself is a ball of flavour, delicious in nature, and very much a fruit-driven expression of the Eden Valley.

The Wardlaw brothers are making a pretty broad range of wines, showcasing both regional and varietal classics, while also not being hemmed in to any one set style of finished product. As an homage, we think they’ve done pretty damn well with this wine, and we’re sure their old man would be beaming with pride. Read More

"Puts beyond doubt the proposition that elegance and freshness can be achieved without stress or strain, simply allowing the fruit to express itself... drink and be merry."

Ordering

We want Different Drop customers to always be getting the best price. If you see a lower price elsewhere, just get in touch and we will sort it out for you. We handle all our price-matching on a case by case basis.

Some things to keep in mind:

  • Retrospective price-matching is available for 30 days after you have purchased from us.
  • The price match cannot be used in conjunction with a coupon or one-off deal we are offering. The idea is for you to get the best price in the market so if that is already achieved through a coupon then we won't price match on top of that.
  • We don't price match clearance or fire sales.
  • We’ll match the listed price as long as it is a legitimate offer and the competing store is actually able to fulfil the order (they have stock or more stock is en route). Essentially we won't price match cheeky vendors listing wines they have no hope of actually getting for you...
  • It must be a publicly listed price. We won't match a price that has been achieved through a coupon/cash-back arrangement, or through a non-advertised offer over the phone or otherwise.
  • It is limited to a reasonable retail quantity.

We'll treat each price match request on its merit and reserve the right to refuse where we deem fit. For example, particularly rare wines, from non-trust-worthy vendors, in circumstances we deem illegitimate or if we feel our policy is being unfairly taken advantage of.

At the end of the day, we'll look after you and use common sense to ensure you're getting the best price, please just don't take the p%$$!

No, feel free to mix it up! There is no minimum requirement. You can order wines in any quantity or combination, 1 or 50+ bottles.

We stock three different sized gift boxes (single, three bottle and six), all are available for purchase for a flat rate of $8. They look great and make an awesome impression.

To add a gift box to your order, simply add at checkout. The special requests box is your friend, please give us as many details of what you are looking for and we will try our best, or get in contact to discuss it with you.

If you want to bulk order gifts or if you have any trouble please email hello@differentdrop.com or call and we can try and help.

If you can't add more wine to your cart it means we are low on stock of that wine. For example, if you are only able to 3 bottles and no more that means we only have 3 bottles left of that wine. If it's a must have, please contact us and we may be able to order more in for you.
